Joanne Kleiner is a solo practitioner in Jenkintown, PA with a practice chiefly devoted to family law. She serves clients primarily in Montgomery, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. Joanne has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Temple University Law School.

Joanne has represented families in a wide range of matters, including divorce, support, custody, and enforcement and modifications of agreements. She has spent many hours in courtrooms, watching families become more divided and embittered as they face each other in court. She has also spent many hours negotiating settlements, and helping families develop resolutions that best suit their particular needs.

Because of her long experience with litigation, Joanne is a firm believer that family disputes are best resolved outside of a courtroom setting, where families can control their own futures and make the decisions that are best for their individual situations.

Joanne received 40 hours of mediation training from the Montgomery County Mediation Center in 2000, as well as training in Collaborative Family Law in 2005. Joanne completed an additional 20 hours of mediation training with Good Shepherd Mediation in 2014. Joanne has been a custody mediator for the Montgomery County Mediation program.

Joanne is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bar Associations, and the Family Law Sections of each. She is a member of the Collaborative Law committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association. In addition, she is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals. She has been a member of Collaborative Law Professionals of Southeastern Pennsylvania since 2005.

Joanne is also active in her community. She is a Past President of Old York Road Temple – Beth Am. She is currently the chair of the Abington Township Human Relations Commission, where disputes related to claims of discrimination are resolved through mediation.
